Treat everything as a study aid and double-check important answers against your official syllabus and practice materials — such as NCERT and standard textbooks for NEET, and the official UCAT practice resources for UCAT — and your teachers before relying on them.
By accessing, registering for, or using AstraScholar, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which together form a binding agreement between you and AstraScholar. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the platform. If you use the platform on behalf of a minor for whom you are responsible, you accept these terms on their behalf.
AstraScholar is an AI-powered exam-preparation platform providing practice questions, mock exams, AI tutoring, animated concept stories, flashcards, question scanning, and performance analytics for students preparing for medical-entrance and related examinations including NEET and UCAT. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without liability, subject to your non-excludable rights under applicable law.
AstraScholar is powered by artificial intelligence. AI systems can produce answers that are incomplete, outdated, or factually wrong — including wrong chemical formulae, wrong equations, wrong numerical values, and confidently-stated errors that look correct. You must treat every AI-generated explanation, story, quiz answer, flashcard, and scanned-question result as a study aid, not as a verified source of truth. We make no representation, and it should not be inferred from any marketing or platform copy, that AI-generated content is guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular examination.
Before using any answer for exam preparation, you agree to independently verify it against your official syllabus, NCERT and standard textbooks, past papers, and your teachers. If AstraScholar and an authoritative source disagree, the authoritative source wins. We strongly recommend using our platform alongside official preparation materials rather than as your only resource.
You have certain basic consumer rights that the law does not allow us to take away, and nothing in these terms tries to remove them. Beyond those, if something goes wrong with our service, the most we will do — and only where the law allows us to limit this — is provide the service again or refund what you paid for the affected part, whichever we choose; we do not otherwise give refunds. Anything we say about the platform or its AI features, including in our marketing, is general information only. It is not a promise that answers will be correct or that you will achieve any particular score, rank, or exam result, and you should not rely on it as one.
You must create an account to access most features of our platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
AstraScholar is not intended for children under 16, and you must not register or use the platform if you are under 16. By registering, you confirm that you are 16 years of age or older. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy on your behalf and consents to your use of the platform, including the processing of your personal information and any payments made. Parents and guardians who allow a minor to use the platform accept these Terms, are responsible for supervising that use, and are liable for all fees and activity on the account. We rely on the age and consent confirmations given at registration and are not responsible for any false or inaccurate statements. If we learn or reasonably believe that a user is under 16, or that required parental consent has not been given, we may suspend or delete the account and associated data without liability. A parent or guardian may contact admin@astrascholar.com at any time to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's account.
Paid plans are billed in advance on the cycle you select (weekly, monthly, or seasonal/annual) at the prices displayed at the time of purchase. Unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable and subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings, effective at the end of the current billing period. We may change prices on a prospective basis with reasonable notice. Nothing in this clause limits your non-excludable rights under applicable consumer-protection law.
You agree not to misuse our services. Prohibited activities include sharing account credentials, attempting to circumvent platform security or usage limits, using automated tools, bots, crawlers, or scrapers to access, index, harvest, or extract any content or data, reproducing or distributing our question bank or other content commercially, using our content or outputs to train, fine-tune, or develop any machine-learning model or competing product, impersonating other users, using the platform to cheat in live examinations, and any use that breaks the rules of your school, examination board, or applicable law.
All content on AstraScholar — including the platform software, question bank, AI-generated questions, explanations, stories, animations, prompts, templates, and platform design — is owned by or licensed to AstraScholar and is protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual-property laws. As between you and AstraScholar, we own all right, title, and interest in the system prompts, model instructions, and generated outputs made available through the platform. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the outputs solely for your own private, non-commercial exam preparation. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, sell, sublicense, data-mine, scrape, or create derivative works from any part of the platform or its outputs without our express prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You retain ownership of the questions, images, and other material you upload ("User Content"). You represent and warrant that you have the right to upload your User Content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights or any law. You grant AstraScholar a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, and adapt your User Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service and to provide the features you request (including AI processing). Do not upload confidential, sensitive, or unlawful material, or copyrighted examination material you are not permitted to share.
AstraScholar is a preparation tool and does not guarantee any specific exam score, rank, percentile, or admission outcome. Content is for general educational purposes only and is not professional, medical, legal, or career advice, even where chemistry, biology, or health-adjacent topics are discussed. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that content is accurate, complete, current, or error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted or secure. This clause does not exclude any guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AstraScholar and its officers, employees, and suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including missed marks, lost opportunities, or other study or admission consequences — arising from errors, omissions, downtime, or reliance on AI-generated content. To the extent our liability can lawfully be limited, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to AstraScholar for the service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in this clause limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AstraScholar and its personnel from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, your User Content, or your violation of any law or third-party right, except to the extent caused by our own unlawful act or omission.
We aim to develop and operate our AI features with reasonable care and consistent with recognised AI-safety good practice, including transparency about AI limitations and appropriate human oversight of important decisions. You acknowledge that AI-generated content is produced automatically and is subject to only minimal human review; it is not individually checked or verified by a human before it reaches you. AI outputs are decision-support and study aids only; you remain responsible for how you use them and for independently verifying them. You must not use the platform to generate or disseminate unlawful, harmful, or deceptive content, or to make high-stakes decisions without independent verification.
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. We store the information needed to run your account and personalise your study, such as preferences, progress, and questions you scan. Please do not upload sensitive personal information you would not want stored. By continuing you consent to this processing as described in our Privacy Policy.
AstraScholar is operated from Australia and made available on a self-study basis. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any official examination authority, board, or government body in Australia, India, or elsewhere. Names of examinations are used for descriptive purposes only. If you access the platform from India or another country, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws; no representation is made that the content is appropriate or available for use in any particular location. Local mandatory consumer-protection laws that apply to you continue to apply.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms or use the platform in a manner that may cause harm or legal exposure to us or others. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Clauses relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity survive termination.
We may update these terms. When we do, you will be asked to review and accept the new version before continuing to use the platform. Continued use after acceptance means you agree to the current version.
If you have a problem or dispute with the service, please contact us first at admin@astrascholar.com and we will try to resolve it in good faith. Where we agree that a resolution is appropriate, the most we will provide is a refund of the fees you paid for the affected part of the service and/or deletion of your account and associated data, and you agree that this is the full extent of the remedy we offer to resolve a dispute. If a dispute cannot be resolved this way, it will be handled in Australia and under Australian law. This does not remove any rights you have that cannot legally be excluded.
