How Adelaide uses your UCAT ANZ score
- Interview invitations are based on UCAT ANZ results only (not your ATAR), with the cognitive subtests weighted equally.
- The Situational Judgement score is used only to separate applicants with the same total at the interview cut-off.
- Domestic offers are ranked on academic results 40%, interview 40% and UCAT ANZ 20%.
- You need a selection rank of at least 90 to be considered.
What UCAT ANZ score should you aim for?
Universities do not set a single pass mark: they rank applicants against each other, so the score you need depends on the year and on how strong the other applicants are. For a competitive course, aiming for the top 10–20% of candidates is a sensible target.
In 2025, the top 20% of UCAT ANZ candidates scored about 2190 or more out of 2700, and the top 10% about 2310 or more. Use the score calculator to see where your practice scores sit.
Before you apply
- Read the official admissions page: Adelaide University — entry requirements.
- Check the prerequisite subjects and the minimum ATAR (or equivalent) for your year of entry.
- Note every deadline: UCAT ANZ registration, the university or admissions-centre application, and any separate interview booking.
- Look for rural, Indigenous and other special entry pathways that may apply to you.
ℹ️ Entry rules change each year. Always confirm the details on Adelaide University's website and the official UCAT ANZ website before you apply.
