Courses that use UCAT ANZ
- Doctor of Medicine (Assured Pathway for school leavers)
How UWA uses your UCAT ANZ score
- You must sit UCAT ANZ in the year before you start (2026 for 2027 entry). Scores cannot be carried over.
- Interview invitations are based on UCAT ANZ performance.
- Final ranking: ATAR 30%, interview 50%, UCAT ANZ 20% (rural applicants have different weightings that include rurality).
Good to know
- The minimum ATAR for most school leaver applicants is 98.
- Interviews are held in November and December, after WACE exams.
What UCAT ANZ score should you aim for?
Universities do not set a single pass mark: they rank applicants against each other, so the score you need depends on the year and on how strong the other applicants are. For a competitive course, aiming for the top 10–20% of candidates is a sensible target.
In 2025, the top 20% of UCAT ANZ candidates scored about 2190 or more out of 2700, and the top 10% about 2310 or more. Use the score calculator to see where your practice scores sit.
